Buncombe
County's motto is “People to Match Our Mountains.” Our
political action committee draws its name from this motto
because we are dedicated to electing people who will provide
effective leadership for our community's future.
We believe
these four candidates will offer that leadership for
Asheville City Council.
A contribution to Match Our Mountains sends a
message to these candidates and the community that you believe
in balancing strong economic development with protection of our
environment, in addition to expanding affordable housing and rebuilding
public services (read more about our issues below).
M.O.M. limits contributions to $100 per
person and has a goal of enlisting many, many supporters. It's
also helpful to donate directly to the candidates' campaigns
(click on the name below each photo to go to the candidate’s
website for more information).
Money is currently a big part of politics and we want our candidates
to be the strongest contenders. It takes each of us giving a
little to add up to a lot!
Remember, Match Our Mountain's special interest is the public
interest. Thank you.
